Patrick is the Principal Lawyer of Lloyd & Lloyd Solicitors. He takes the worry out of his clients’ legal affairs by guiding them through their legal options and solving their complex legal problems.
He practises in commercial law and litigation.
Patrick advises institutional and commercial clients on transactions, joint ventures, finance and structuring of investments, intellectual property and licensing arrangements.
He was admitted to practice in 1986 and became a member of the NSW Bar Association in 1994. Patrick has appeared as counsel in several well-known cases in the High Court of Australia, and in all the main jurisdictions of commercial practice.
As well as being a Costs Assessor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Patrick is an Accredited Independent Lawyer for supervision of Anton Piller Orders in the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. He is also a nationally accredited Mediator under the Australian National Mediator Accreditation System.

Alan is deeply committed to finding solutions to his clients’ legal issues and resolving disputes with negotiated outcomes to avoid costly court action. He works hard to secure a favourable outcome for his clients, saving them time, money and worry.
With over 35 years’ experience and practice as a solicitor, Alan heads the firm’s legal division. A graduate in Arts and Law from the University of New South Wales, he has spent 30 years as a principal in CBD law firms practising principally in commercial litigation.
Alan provides advice across a range of issues—property, family, dispute resolution, insolvency, employment, court representation and advocacy, wills and estates and commercial law. He attracts clients from large corporates as well as individuals, families and small businesses.
Alan is a member of the Law Society of NSW and the Law Council of Australia and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has served as a part-time Member of the Federal Administrative Appeal Tribunal since 2017 and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal to which the State Government first appointed him in 2011.
Alan was an elected member of the NSW Law Society Council where he served for five years. He chaired the Litigation and Cost committees and served on the professional conduct committee for four years.
Alan is the author of numerous articles and a most sought after presenter at legal forums.

Harley McDonald graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Applied Finance) in 2016. He was admitted to practice in 2017.

Karen is Lloyd & Lloyd’s accountant and office manager. As well as running Lloyd & Lloyd’s payroll and finances, she manages the trust accounts of the firm’s clients, a role she greatly enjoys.
